I completed my qualification as a Certified Financial Planner in December 2004 and had been looking for a structured way of moving to a fee based financial planning service ever since meeting Steve Champion that I was able to feel really comfortable with my overall ‘Client Value Proposition’.
Steve’s unique value was his empathy with our business style and the way he was constantly able to bring us back to the true ethics of the business proposition we were seeking to present to our clients.
We had just completed our most successful year primarily based on transactional business but after speaking with Steve I felt even more enthusiastic about moving forward on a fee based business model. We are still in the early days of our transition but the response of our existing clients who we wish to work with in the future has been very encouraging.
We feel confident enough to now offer our fee based approach to all new clients and a significant majority of our existing clients.
I certainly do not feel we would have made the progress we have made in such a professional and structured way had it not been for Steve’s input. His input regarding service levels, evaluating the cost of the service being provided, back office responsibilities and his emphasis on the positioning of our service to clients has been invaluable.
